World Bicycle Relief: Sculpture from bicycle parts by Bruce Gray

"Streamlined" (20x19x9) Sculptor Bruce Gray was asked to donate a sculpture using a box of bicycle parts that were supplied to 50 prominent artists to help raise funds for World Bicycle Support. World Bicycle Support supplies bicycles to people in underdeveloped regions of the world who are suffering due to the lack of access to health care, education and economic development opportunities. Here is the selection of the bicycle parts before starting the sculpture. Bruce decided to use existing holes for connections due to the fact that there were a lot of different materials to attach together including steel, aluminum, ceramics and other high tech materials. The parts were bolted together using a wide variet of screws, nuts and washers.
