Los Angeles Angels Logo Created in Recycled COORS Light Cans by Artist Bruce Gray for Angels Stadium
So after pulling an all nighter, I finished this recycled can sculpture about an hour before the client came to my studio. The paint was just drying. This sculpture was sponsored by the LA Angeles baseball team and Coors Light, and is now on display at the stadium in Anaheim. (Over 2500 screws used) Let's face it, intelligent care of our environment should be very important to all of us. I'd like to think my sculpture could possibly inspire further use by others in recycled materials as a medium for their art, furniture, architecture, etc. Cheers!
This is the text from the above plaque for the Angels-Coors sculpture. This recycled can project was about Coors commitment to recycling, and I also learned they have a solar powered brewery. Very cool. I have enjoyed using recycled materials and found objects in my work since I started as a sculptor in 1989.

This is my Los Angeles Angels Stadium visitor pass.
This is my Los Angeles Angels Stadium visitor pass. It's kind of cool, and a bit surreal to visit a giant stadium while it's virtually empty.
